This year Camp Merveilles will offer multiple on-going class opportunities. Each of these classes will culminate with a chance to perform. Students are welcome to attend any of these classes, but know that the classes will build upon the information of prior classes with little review.  This is an incredible chance to study in-depth a rhythm or song with a faculty member, it is recommended that you attend the entire series offered for each on-going class. Fara Tolno will be teaching an intermediate/advanced level dundun dance class. Ismael Bangoura will be teaching an all level traditional dun class. Fara Tolno and Fode Bangoura will be teaching an advanced drum class. All of these classes will perform on Sunday night at the closing ceremony.

Mohammed and Aboubacar Kouyate will be teaching an ensemble class. Feel free to bring your guitar, trumpet, bass, balafon, marimba, djembe or dun drum or whatever other instrument you play! These brothers will orchestrate a performance piece for the Saturday night theater show. Ismael “Bonfils” Kouyate will also be teaching a song class to perform at the Saturday night theater show!

Students will need to provide their own instruments for all of these classes. There are limited instruments available for rental and you must contact merveilles.info@gmail.com by August 1st if you would like to reserve a dun or djembe for rental. There are NOT extra sticks available for duns. There may be sticks available for sale.
