The Kissidugu Foundation is proud to present Camp Merveilles, first started in 2003 in Colorado.  Named after Les Merveilles, the preeminent Drum and Dance Company from Guinea, the camps are hosted by Gabriel Fara Tolno, in tribute to his mentor, thekemoko companies legendary Director, Kemoko Sano. Camp Merveilles brings world class artisans from all around the African Diaspora to share their cultural arts and heritage. With classes for all ages and abilities, this is an opportunity to study, connect, and celebrate through music, dance, and dialogue.



Merveilles Hawaii

Kissidugu Foundation and Lavaroots Performing Arts present the fifth annual Merveilles Hawai’i. Featuring 8 West African Artists: Gabriel Fara Tolno, Youssouf Koumbassa, Marietou Camara, Naby Bangoura, Fode Bangoura, Lamine Bangoura and Sekou Camara.  As well as Hawaiian Hula with local Kumu’s Hope Keawe and Leia Lawrence and daily morning Yoga with Big Island favorites!  Join us for an amazing 5 days at our incredible location:  The The Grace Center at The Iole Institute.


Camp Merveilles is the longest on-going program operating IMG_5364under the current non-profit of the Kissidugu Foundation.
